The road for 2023 comes with much excitement 😃 and anticipation for both the Espers team and community. Having launched 7 years ago, countless hours and hard work by the team, the pieces of the puzzle 🧩 are coming together and the dream is closer to becoming a reality than ever.

What has been achieved to date?

Prior to 2023 several products have been released, all stepping stones on the way to our vision of the WEB 3 FRACTAL release that will change the way we use the internet for the better.

✅ Demi Nodes V1
✅ PosV3 Overhaul
✅ UUNIGATE Integration
✅ VRX Block Spacing
✅ Bits Visualized As Color
✅ Smart Contracts v1
✅ Velocity Block Security
✅ Espers Blockchain Mainnet
✅ Website
✅ NFTs
✅ Whitepaper v1
✅ Desktop-Client

The road to 2023 🛣

💥 Fractal Multi-chain Engine — Seeing our vision through to completion we are in final build phases of what we have coined the “Fractal” platform. This platform is a service layer that handles a infinitely layered network of dynamic side-chains and mini-chains in order to provide the ability to host dynamic data in a very fast, scalable and decentralized manner using the X-Node system as its host layer and utilizing the mainnet as a verification system for launching NFTs, Tokens or other hosted material. By doing this we avoid bloat, and mainnet net reliance beyond launch needs. Ultimately this platform can replace the need for servers, DNS hosting and much more while offering a much more robust solution than available today. I guess, you could call it Web3 or the “internet computer” as some have thrown the term around.

💥 X-Nodes — Completely opt-in meaning that any community member may participate in the system regardless of their current balance or previous experience. This ensures that the decentralization aspect of the Espers project and blockchains in general is not lost once again strengthening the overall network.

💥 Demi-Nodes v2 — Currently in order to bolster our security and also bring something even more unique to the crypto world we have built upon our previous set of updates that allow us to have a “smart chain” why I would call it something at least reminiscent of a “smart chain” is because the system is able to make informed decisions on its own depending on how the network’s health is and depending on what trusted nodes it’s listening to compare to how network peers are talking. Simply put it’s able to adapt to the network and make intelligent decisions on what to do during syncing or accepting blocks as well as handling possible splits from the main network’s chain much more smoothly than forcing a user to resync.

Moving from v1 to v2 will allow the demi-nodes themselves to talk to each other and compare consensus forks/chains amongst each other to further improve reliability and security. This provides a way to self-govern each other and ensure they are all on the same page if one or a few disagreed they would analyze and debate amongst themselves about who to listen to and form a unanimous decision.

💥 PoSv4 Overhaul — Please note that PoSv3 reference was never designed for the significant stake weight that our users have on the network. This causes issues for lower balances seeing stakes not as often as they should. This has been stated before but it was some time ago so I’ll reiterate the issue once more. We will be conducting an upgrade later to the PoS system to a custom PoSv4 system that will be able to manage the stake weight much more dynamically instead of having large coin users only stake some of their balance and leave much of their weight still online choking out any smaller balances. When BlackCoin and Novacoin made PoSv2/PoSv3 they only made calculations for millions of coins, not billions, so now we are making amore sophisticated systems to make it not biased towards a specific limit.

💥 Smart Contracts v2 — With the current release of v1 the Smart Contract system is not within the reach of users who are using the wallet/client and instead is limited to Discord NFT bot integration during the initial testing phases of our smart contract platform. Now that the team has had time to review the current iteration plans for the upcoming v2 are underway. V2 will feature in-wallet/client native usability of the entire Fractal platform allowing users to interact with smart contracts such as NFTs or dApps and eventually Website-on-chain as well.

💥 Website on Chain — Espers Blockchain will keep sites extremely safe and will make them virtually impenetrable, which is creating a new standard for website safety and security. In addition to the security improvements, Espers Blockchain will also ensure that your website is never taken down or removed, no matter what. You will also have complete control of your data, and the sites will feature faster server times. We propose that websites and other internet related services be operated/stored/hosted through the blockchain. Going further than merely adding a layer of security, a blockchain operated website has no possibility of suffering from a DDOS attack, as there are no servers or data centers to compromise, no files to “hack”, no hosting to worry about, no domain headaches, no storage concerns, no data to intercept, the future of website hosting will be on Espers.

💥 Pubkey Alias Service — PAS, as it’s called amongst the team, is the ability for the Espers blockchain to register aliases such as “EXAMPLE.esp” as being registered with a Public-Key/Receiving-Address of a user’s client. It works by charging the user a fee for the network processing data much like sending a standard transaction. This fee and a registration note on the fee’s transaction are registered with the rest of the network and hosted by nodes. The fees are currently designed to renew annually from the initial block date that it was registered in, much like a domain name people are already used to buying and using.

💥 Secured Messaging — Beyond merely including text as the content of a message, Espers’ messaging system is also designed to process and distribute everything from basic images to compressed files and documents allowing its users to go beyond standard text-only limitation. To accomplish the previously mentioned Side-chain system and cross-chain interface is used.

💥 Web-Client — From 2020 the Web Client has been down for overhaul for the upcoming Fractal platform launch and in order to properly handle any sent NFTs/Smart-contracts to addresses on our Web Client. Now that we are moving forward to public testing and release of previously mentioned features we can also look forward to erecting a new and improved Web Client that users can once again enjoy without having to deal with any sort of download or setup.

💥 Mobile-Client — Another big goal for the Espers team is to bring a native mobile wallet to users later in this 2023 year. It’s been long discussed amongst the team and community so this is something that excites all of us to show off to the community as soon as we can.

💥 Desktop-Client Overhaul — Many users have probably already taken notice that the Desktop Client has undergone quite a few updates over the last year especially with the new user interface setting the stage for future releases’ usability within the client itself. These updates are expected to be seen throughout this year again to refine and finalize the design and operation of the Espers client so that we can offer a striking but easy to use system to our community.

💥 Marketing Campaign — We believe timing is everything, and in the past we have seen no real reason to market as our products were not market ready, but now as this time nears, we will start to increase our efforts and the awareness of our beloved Espers.

💥 Website update 2023 — With 2023 comes a new home for Espers with updated information and landing page for Espers.

💥 Whitepaper update 2023 — A much awaited revision to our previous whitepaper as Espers has evolved since the first version we will release a new updated whitepaper to cover everything that is Espers.

💥 Documentation — Find the updated github here

💥 Exchange Listing — An often asked about question, and we hear you Esperians, our team is working on the best decision for the greater good of Espers. Which exchange and when 🤔 so follow closely as big things are coming in 2023.

📝 A note from the team

We appreciate the continued support from our amazing community and look forward to 2023 and making it the best year yet. Let’s work together and spread the word of Espers far and wide. 🤝
